Something else on your mind? Call or text Mackenzie and Dan at 519-670-3027.

Is Riverbend a good place to live?

For move up families, active adults 50+ and anyone who wants a newer home near river trails, yes. You get Kains Woods, Riverbend Park, the golf community and the shops and events at West 5. It is less suited to downtown commuters, car free living or tight budgets.

Where is Riverbend in London, Ontario?

Riverbend sits on London's western edge, tucked into a big northward loop of the Thames. Westdel Bourne marks the west side, Oxford Street West cuts through it, and Byron lies south and east over the water.

    Why is it called Riverbend?

Here the Thames loops furthest north, hugging the area on three sides. People who live nearby nickname this part of the river The Thumb. You will also see it written River Bend.

How much does a house in Riverbend cost?

There is no official sold average for Riverbend. In 2026 the median detached listing was close to $1 million, townhouses sat near $700,000, and the median condo sale was about $573,000. New golf community bungalows start around $703,000. For a particular street, ask us what has actually sold.

    What is West 5?

Built by Sifton Properties on Oxford Street West, West 5 aims for net zero. It mixes solar powered homes with shops and offices around a green space named Legacy Square.

Is RiverBend Golf Community an adult community?

Yes. This gated enclave is for people 50 and up, with golf, a 28,000 square foot clubhouse with dining, an indoor pool and a 24 hour concierge. Check land tenure and monthly fees before you buy.

    What schools serve Riverbend?

St. Nicholas Catholic School sits right in Riverbend. Some children go to Byron Northview Public School, and the new Riverbend Public School opens in 2027. For high school, St. Thomas Aquinas or Saunders. Boundaries are changing, so always confirm with the board for a specific address.

    Are there trails in Riverbend?

Yes. The Kains Woods Environmentally Significant Area offers a 5 km riverside path, a piece of the Thames Valley Trail. Some sections are steep and muddy.

When will Oxford Street West be widened?

Pre construction work began in 2026. The main work, from Westdel Bourne to Commissioners Road West, now starts in spring 2027 and runs over two construction seasons.

    Is Riverbend a new neighbourhood?

Mostly. Most houses here went up in the last twenty years or so, and West 5 is still under construction.

How far is Riverbend from downtown?

It's roughly 11 km east to downtown: about 20 minutes by car outside rush hour or around 45 by bus.

What is the postal code for Riverbend?
